IDEAL HEALTH CONCEPT
The World Health Organization (WHO) offers as a definition of health:
«The state of physical, mental and social well-being complete and not merely the absence of damage or disease.»
In summary, when defining health, the cultural and social elements that characterize the medium on which we want to intervene should be considered. Thus understood, health is multifactorial, and the factors that determine it, according to the importance given to it, will define the actions that should be planned in relation to health.
OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS
By understanding work and health as something intimately linked and related, it follows that work can affect health, when it develops in conditions that alter the physical, mental and social aspects of workers. This is the case of occupational diseases and work accidents.
Therefore, occupational risks can be defined as work situations that can break the physical, mental or social balance of workers.
